Ambrosia apples are medium to large in size and conical in shape. The smooth and glossy skin is bi-colored with a golden to butter-yellow base and red to pink blushing covering the surface. The light-yellow to cream-colored flesh is crisp and contains a small central fibrous core with a few small, dark brown seeds compacted within. Ambrosia apples are tender and juicy with a sweet, honeyed flavor and low acidity.
